The Upper Buller Gorge offers one of the premier jet boat runs in New Zealand, Buller Canyon Jet. Participants are taken for a thrilling 40-minute ride up the river to the foot of the Ariki Falls and then spin back down amongst the pink granite rocks of the gorge and beneath the swingbridge.

Continuing on down the river customers can enjoy the beauty of the scenic reserve and marvel at the efforts of the early goldminers who tunnelled through solid rock to divert the mighty Buller River.

The driver will pull over at Deep Creek to allow customers to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the river, interrupted only by the calls of the native birds, before relating a short story of the early explorers, goldminers and the natural history of the area.

Departing hourly from 10am to 4pm during the summer months (conditions allowing) and by arrangement during winter.
